The village of Pitigliano is located in the province of Grosseto in Tuscany, Italy. It is known for its historic architecture and picturesque hilltop location. The village is situated on a tuff rock and its architecture reflects the long history of the area, with influences from the Etruscan, Roman, and medieval periods.

Pitigliano has a number of historic sites and attractions, including the Palazzo Orsini, a Renaissance palace that now houses the Museum of the Civilization of the Territory; the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, a Romanesque church with Gothic elements; and the Jewish Ghetto, an area where Jewish families lived from the 16th century until World War II.
