Although Batumi is a year-round destination, the best time to visit with kids is from May to September. During these months, the weather is warm and ideal for beach activities and outdoor exploration. The summer season also offers a variety of festivals and events that can add extra fun to your trip.
Batumi Beach
A visit to Batumi’s beach is a mustduring the summer. The rocky shore can be easily accessed with pathways, making it stroller-friendly. Kids will enjoy playing on the beach, collecting pebbles, and splashing in the water. Renting chairs and umbrellas is also available for a comfortable day by the sea.
Batumi Boulevard
The bustling Batumi Boulevard is a perfect spot for families. It features numerous playgrounds, fountains, and a Japanese garden. You can rent family bikes, indulge in ice cream, and explore the various souvenir stalls. Keep in mind that public restrooms are scarce, despite the abundance of restaurants and green spaces.
May 6 Park
May 6 Park is an excellent place for a leisurely day out. It offers a lake with boat rentals, kids’ rides, and a small zoo and aquarium. While the zoo and aquarium may not be the most impressive, they provide a brief diversion for young kids.
Dolphinarium
A visit to Batumi’s Dolphinarium is sure to be a highlight. Daily dolphin shows captivate audiences, and kids can even swim with the dolphins. Shows typically run from 4 pm to 9 pm, and tickets range from 15-20 GEL.
Batumi Seaside Park
Located 8 km from the city, Seaside Park offers vast spaces for games, biking, and giant chess. The nearby bird nursery allows kids to interact with various birds for free.
Argo Cable Car
The Argo cable car ride offers breathtaking views from 250 meters above sea level. One of the longest cable cars in Europe, it provides spectacular panoramic vistas of Batumi and the Black Sea. Tickets cost 15 GEL for adults and 5 GEL for kids under 12.
Botanical Garden

Batumi offers various transportation options, including taxis, minibuses, and rental bikes. Taxis are affordable and convenient for short distances. Minibuses (marshrutkas) are the primary form of public transport, covering most areas in and around Batumi. Renting bikes or family bikes along the boulevard is a fun way to explore the city.
