Rashid Al-Nuaimi - My Encounter with the UAE in 2005 I first arrived in the UAE planning to stay for three months to study Arabic. This short period completely changed my life. The rapid transformation of cities and the harmonious blend of tradition with innovation made me stay and witness the incredible development of this country. Over the past 20 years, I have explored all seven emirates - from futuristic Dubai to cultural Sharjah, from the mountains of Ras Al Khaimah to the beaches of Fujairah. I crossed the desert in 4x4 vehicles, climbed the tallest skyscrapers, and lived in traditional Bedouin camps. The UAE is an amazing combination of opposites, where each emirate has its own unique soul. Here, ultra-modern metropolises coexist with authentic fishing villages, luxurious shopping centers with ancient fortresses. I help travelers see the real Emirates beyond the glossy brochures. Throughout my career, I have organized more than 300 personalized tours and have become an expert on the hidden gems of the UAE. Entrust me with creating your perfect journey - a route that takes into account all your interests, from extreme adventures to cultural immersion.

Expert Review of UAE Visit
After years of crafting UAE itineraries, I believe this country is one of the most versatile tourist destinations globally. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi consistently captivates visitors with its beauty and serenity; I always recommend morning visits for optimal photos and fewer crowds. The contrast between traditional attractions and modern entertainment is striking, from the stunning waterfront at JBR Walk to the exceptional service at Ferrari World’s Il Podio restaurant.
When planning itineraries, it’s important to consider the diversity of the emirates. Abu Dhabi offers a more grounded experience compared to the flashy Dubai, seamlessly blending tradition with modernity, while Sharjah is celebrated as the cultural capital. A practical tip: the areas around Dubai Museum and Mina Bazaar are filled with affordable restaurants offering a variety of world cuisines, which I often include in culinary routes alongside sightseeing.
The UAE’s main advantage is its ability to cater to diverse tourist needs within a single trip. From underwater adventures in Fujairah to the exhilarating zipline experience in Ras Al Khaimah, there’s something for everyone. Through my work, I’ve observed that the UAE is not merely a showcase of luxury but a thoughtfully designed destination where Arabian hospitality merges beautifully with 21st-century innovations. This makes it a perfect spot for both newcomers and seasoned travelers.
Expert Travel Tips for UAE
Best Time to Visit Dubai
High season (November-March) — This is the ideal time for travel. The comfortable temperatures range from 20-30°C, with virtually no rain. The only downside is that hotel prices can be 2-3 times higher due to increased tourist traffic, so advance booking is recommended.
Low season (June-September) — This period is suitable for those who can tolerate the heat. Temperatures can soar to 35-45°C with high humidity. However, hotel prices drop by 50-70%, and shopping centers, beach clubs, and indoor entertainment venues remain comfortable thanks to air conditioning.
Appropriate Dressing in Dubai
In shopping centers and public areas, please observe the dress code by ensuring shoulders and knees are covered. Swimwear is only acceptable at beaches and beach clubs. In mosques, a strict dress code is enforced, requiring women to wear a head covering.
UAE Alcohol Availability
Alcohol is only sold in licensed establishments, such as hotels, restaurants, and beach clubs. Note that Sharjah does not permit the sale of alcohol at all. Public intoxication is not tolerated and can lead to serious legal consequences.
Dubai Tipping
Many restaurants include a service charge of 10-15% in the bill, so be sure to check your receipt. It is customary to round up taxi fares to the nearest whole number. For hotel porters, a tip of 5-10 dirhams per service is appreciated.
Budget Guidelines for Different Travel Types
- Budget Travel: $150-200 daily for two (hostels, public transport, street food)
- Mid-Range Travel: $300-500 daily for two (3-4 star hotels, taxis, mid-range restaurants)
- Luxury Travel: $800+ daily for two (5-star hotels, private transport, fine dining)
