My good friend and I decided to go on a trip to Thailand to celebrate completing our degrees. It was supposed to be an unforgettable vacation, but our budget was limited and we didn’t know how to best utilize our three weeks. I wanted to focus on the southern beaches and diving, while my friend preferred the northern culture and jungle treks. We started planning ourselves, but felt lost among all the possibilities.
We approached Jonathan Shuv on a friend’s recommendation, and it was the best decision. He had a virtual consultation with us, listened to our different preferences, and within a week sent us a detailed itinerary that managed to amazingly combine all our priorities. The route also included affordable local transportation options that saved us a lot of money.
The decisive moment was when we arrived at Koh Phangan and discovered that the hotel we had booked (before we knew Jonathan) was much worse than promised on the website. We called Jonathan in desperation, and within two hours he arranged another place for a similar price but at a much higher standard. When an unexpected monsoon storm hit the area, Jonathan immediately sent us a message with an alternative plan for the north, including a domestic flight at a discounted price that he secured for us.
His tip to visit a non-touristy temple near Chiang Mai was worth gold – we met a monk there who invited us to join a traditional Buddhist ceremony, an experience that wouldn’t have happened without Jonathan’s guidance.
Despite our limited budget and conflicting requirements, the trip was exceptionally balanced and we achieved much more than we expected. I have no doubt that I will contact Jonathan again for my next trip to Southeast Asia. I would like to thank him for the excellent service and genuine care he showed throughout!
