Getting to Monte Baldo via cable car

Cable Car

The most popular way to reach Monte Baldo is by cable car from Malcesine. The cable car trip itself is a thrill, with panoramic views as you rise. The trek is broken into two sections: Malcesine to San Michele, and San Michele to Tratto Spino.

By Foot

For the most daring, trekking up Monte Baldo is a rewarding experience. The hike from base to peak takes around four hours and is moderately tough. Make sure to bring plenty of water and start early to escape the hot sun.

• Start early: Arrive early to avoid large lines for the cable car, particularly during high seasons.

The best time to visit Monte Baldo is during the shoulder seasons (spring and fall), when the weather is beautiful and crowds are smaller. Summer provides great weather but can be extremely congested. Winter is perfect for snow sports aficionados.
