Forte di Bard
Fort Bard is one of the most famous and impressive buildings in the entire Aosta Valley, halfway between the castle and the fortress. This is actually one of the first examples of a barrage fortress of the early nineteenth century, located on a rocky promontory at an altitude of 384 meters above sea level. It currently hosts exhibitions of ancient, modern, contemporary art and photography. The fort is also home to three permanent routes: the Museum of the Alps, the Children’s Alps and Prisons, as well as a fourth terminating one (Fort Museum). The fort is equipped with a cafeteria, a restaurant, conference rooms, multimedia conference rooms, a library, an info lounge, Wi-Fi in many areas; There is also a hotel here.

How To Get There
Forte di Bard is easily reached by car, bus, or train. Parking is available right under the fortress. The closest train station is Pont-Saint-Martin, where you can take a bus to Bard. The journey takes you to the Aosta Valley.
