Welcome dear travel fans! I've been traveling around the world for 20 years and most of my trips were to Asia. I think I am crazy about Asia since I was a child and will be happy to share this passion with you...

The famous Liceu Opera House in Barcelona (Gran Teatre del Liceo) was founded in 1847. From the very beginning the theatre gained the reputation as one of the most popular opera houses in Europe. Looking rather plain from the outside the building is noted for its strikingly beautiful interior. You will certainly be impressed with its interior golden and marble details and with the hall hosting up to 2300 spectators.

The building was destroyed by a fire that took place in 1994 but five years later it was completely rebuilt. If you have no opportunity to visit opera in Barcelona you can just admire the building itself. An everyday guided tour through the building starts at 10 a.m. Besides you can visit it by yourself at 11.30 a.m., 12.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m.

The entrance fee is 8.5 euro.
The theatre is in la Rambla Boulevard, 51-59.
