Casa Mila

After an intensive day in Montserrat and a short rest in hotel we went to Casa Mila. The exhibition started with the Gaudi Museum where we learned much about Gaudi’s works and projects. Among the most interesting objects of the museum you can see various natural materials that Gaudi used as ideas and base for his works.

Then we went down to an apartment designed by Gaudi. The apartment is so beautiful and interesting that there is hardly any human being in the world who would refuse to live in it. Its interior decoration gives an idea of how it must have looked at the beginning of the 20th century.

After visiting the apartment we went up to the roof and were impressed with its extraordinary beauty and a wonderful view over the centre of Barcelona.

The roof features a number of surrealistic chimneys among which you feel like you are in a fairytale. They say that those chimneys make natural ventilation, which allows to get rid of air conditioning units.

Let us continue our trip in La Rambla Street.
