Daishoin Temple and Henjo Cave are popular tourist attractions located on the island of Miyajima in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan.

Daishoin Temple, officially known as the Kyozo-in Temple, was founded in 806 by the monk Kobo Daishi. The temple is a Shingon Buddhist temple and is known for its large collection of Buddhist statues and artifacts.

Visitors can also see the temple’s beautiful gardens and explore its many halls and buildings, including the main hall, which houses a large golden statue of Kobo Daishi.

Henjo Cave is located behind Daishoin Temple and is a natural limestone cave that has been turned into a small shrine. Legend has it that Kobo Daishi meditated in the cave and discovered a natural spring that is still flowing today. Visitors can explore the cave’s many chambers and see the various Buddhist statues and artifacts that are on display. The cave is also home to the legendary “Dragon King’s Palace,” which is said to be inhabited by a dragon that protects the island.

Both Daishoin Temple and Henjo Cave are popular destinations for tourists visiting Miyajima and are considered to be important cultural and spiritual sites in Japan.
