Getting There

The Haflinger Adventure Trail starts in the village of Avelengo (Avelengo paese) and ends in Santa Caterina. Here’s how to get there:

• By Car: From the Merano-Bolzano highway (MEBO), take the Merano Sud exit and follow the signs towards Avelengo. Parking is available at the start of the trail near the parish church for a small fee of €3 per day.
• Public Transport: Take bus line 225 from Merano to Avelengo or bus line 204 from Bolzano to Avelengo, then switch to line 225.

• The trail is approximately 2 km one way and takes about 1 hour to walk without stops. However, with interactive activities and breaks, it can take around 2 hours or more.
• The trail is easy and suitable for all ages, including young children and those with strollers.
• The trail is best enjoyed from spring to autumn when the weather is mild and the surroundings are lush and vibrant.
