Welcome dear travel fans! I've been traveling around the world for 20 years and most of my trips were to Asia. I think I am crazy about Asia since I was a child and will be happy to share this passion with you...
The hotel we stayed in Florence deserves an entire article.
While looking for a hotel in Florence we had two choices: to stay in or outside the city. We decided to stay in the city. It turned out to be the right choice with regards to the hotel.
Nothing can be compared to a walk around Florence till midnight and nothing can be compared to a few minutes spent at the hotel at midday. Nothing can be compared to the wonderful view of the River Arno. Nothing can be compared to the morning photo set of Florence. I will be glad to receive your reviews of my photo gallery.
But finding a hotel in the city appeared to be quite a difficult task. Hotels in Florence are either too expensive or just horrible. Like in Venice, many of them are housed in 18th century buildings which haven’t been reconstructed since then.
We fixed upon the Hotel Balestri. Frankly speaking, for a few days we had some doubts, whether we should book a room there or not. Finally, we booked it and never regretted staying there. It’s a hotel with a very nice lobby, restaurant and hallways, and with friendly staff. The rooms are rather spacious with all necessary facilities including bathroom, air conditioner and fridge. The furniture needed to be renewed but on the whole our stay was more than Okay.
Florence – hotel Balestri
The hotel offers very good breakfast for Italy. In order to appreciate it you should know what the typical Italian breakfast is. The hotel is noted for its great location – one minute’s walk to Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, Loggia dei Lanzi, five minutes’ walk to the Duomo and ten minutes’ walk to Michelangelo Square.
The hotel’s major advantage is an amazing view on the River Arno. It is located right on the bank of the river. We had booked a standard room but they offered us a square view and a river view room.
An amazing view on the River Arno
I highly recommend clicking the following link to learn more about the hotel and the prices.

Hope you will appreciate amazing views from our room.
After we settled down in the hotel room, we set off for our first adventure in Italy – shopping in Florence.
