Mamilla shopping center

Just behind the Jaffa Gate of the old city of Jerusalem there is high prestige and ultra-modern shopping center Mamilla.

Shopping center is only a part of a huge complex, which includes a large underground parking lot, where tourists leave their cars to take a walk in the old city. Parking is not cheap – 20 shekels per hour or 50 shekels for the whole day.

The complex also includes a hotel and a set of super-expensive apartments “Kfar David.” It’s basically occupied by foreigners who only occasionally visit their apartment at the walls of the old city.

You cannot say that shopping is extremely expensive – most of them are chain stores that have branches all over Israel. Hence the price – is the medium-Israeli. Among them there are several boutiques and luxury shops.

But shopping in Mamilla has its own charm. All shopping street is filled with works of art of the Israeli painters. Personally, I liked most of the works. A lot of shop windows are decorated in a very unusual art style.

Across the street there is a lot of interesting elements – such as this unusual bridge café.

Right in the middle of the shopping street there is the Monastery of St. Vincent.

Along the street there are a lot of cafes. A cup of coffee with the view of walls of the old city will leave pleasant and unforgettable memories.

Mamilla for several years is the “must” point in the tourist list in Jerusalem. I’m sure you will enjoy.
