What to Do on Kos Island

Kos Island offers different types of leisure activities. You can choose just relaxing on a beach or by the pool. You can choose relaxing on a beach or by the pool combined with visiting the major attractions of the island.

Before the trip to Kos Greece we had worked out the plan of our vacation following which we managed to see the larger part of the island.

The logic of our plan was the following: visiting attractions the first half of the day and relaxing on the beach the second half of the day.

Here is our tentative plan:

Day 1 – arrival, beach, Thermes beach

Day 2 – attractions of Kos Town such as the Castle of Joanites (the Castle of the Knights of Saint John), the Plane Tree of Hippocrates, Eleftherias Square, Ancient Agora, “Souvenir street” and Mastichari

Day 3 – attractions of Kos town such as the Roman Odeon, the ruins of the Ancient Hellenistic Gymnasium, the Roman House and Marmari

Day 4 – Asklepion, the villages of Zia and Pyli, Tigaki beach

Day 5 – Antimachia, the castle near Antimachia, historical ruins and the beach in Kardamena

Day 6 – Kefalos, Agios Stefanos and the Paradise beach

And that was the end of our vacation…

If you are planning to stay on Kos Island more it is highly recommended visiting Nysiros and Bodrum.

As for me, I would like to spend another day on Paradise beach…
