Southern coast of Kos Island

Southern coast of Kos Island may be conventionally divided into two parts. The first one is the south-eastern part only a small area of which is occupied with hotels and hot spas called Thermes. The rest of the area is occupied with very steep cliffs.

In the south-western part you can see the cleanest sandy beaches and a large tourist centre. A large number of tourists choose to spend their vacation in hotels placed in that very part of the island.

This part is a bit further from the town of Kos (around 40 km) but it is worth visiting primarily due to its wonderful beaches one of the most popular of which is Paradise Beach. But it’s not the only beach in that part of the island.

As for the villages the most popular ones are Kefalos and Kardamena.
