The Beaune Museum of Fine Arts opened in June, 2012, after a prolonged renovation. It first opened in 1853. Jules Pautet, its founder, created the museum out of his own collection. Afterwards, the museum supplemented its collection with the works of the modern artists. Most exhibits of the museum are paintings, tapestries and sculptures dating back to the period from the 12th to the 20th century.

The Museum of Fine Arts in Beaune (Musée des Beaux-Arts de Beaune) is located in the former 17th-century Carmelite convent in Beaune, a town in the Burgundy region of France. The museum displays a rich collection of paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts from the 15th to the 20th century.

The museum’s collection includes works by Flemish and Dutch painters such as Jan Brueghel the Younger, Frans Snyders, and Joachim Wtewael. It also features French artists such as Jean-Baptiste Greuze, François Boucher, and Eugène Boudin. The museum also has an extensive collection of ceramics, including pieces from Delft and Nevers.

In addition to the permanent collection, the museum hosts temporary exhibitions throughout the year, showcasing various artists and themes. The museum also offers workshops and educational activities for children and adults.
