It is a Gothic style church built between the 14th and 16th centuries, and it was consecrated in 1576.

The church has a unique feature of having two towers with different heights. The taller tower, known as the “Butter Tower,” was built in the 16th century and financed by donations from wealthy citizens who were allowed to eat butter during Lent in exchange for their contributions.

The church also features beautiful stained-glass windows, a magnificent organ, and numerous sculptures and works of art. It is a popular attraction for tourists and a significant religious site for locals.
