Abbaye de Citeaux, also known as Cîteaux Abbey, is a monastery located in Saint-Nicolas-lès-Cîteaux, near Dijon in Burgundy, France. It was founded in 1098 by a group of monks led by Saint Robert of Molesme, and it is considered the mother house of the Cistercian order. The Cistercians were known for their strict adherence to the Rule of St. Benedict, simplicity, and self-sufficiency.

Today, the abbey is still an active monastery and is open to visitors who can explore the beautiful church and grounds, which include a 12th-century chapter house, a Gothic cloister, and a 17th-century mill. The abbey also has a gift shop where visitors can purchase Cistercian products such as honey, jams, and liqueurs.
